After retiring from the State of California, I was asked to join Disaster Recovery Experts as a Project Manager in the recovery and cleanup efforts following the 2025 wildfires. I spent six months onsite managing both private and public sector contracts for Disaster Recovery Experts. I am passionate about ensuring that, after a fire occurs, our communities are rebuilt on clean, safe soils and water sources. As a homeowner in LOP, I am passionate about doing whatever I can to prevent a crisis before it strikes in my.
Paradise, CA
The Camp Fire, which consumed the town of Paradise, claimed the lives of over 80 individuals and destroyed nearly 90% of the town's structures. This fire resulted in the displacement of over 50,000 people.
As a Senior Manager at CalRecycle, I was heavily involved in the post-fire cleanup following this devastating tragedy. This firsthand experience has forever changed my perspective on ensuring community safety, developing proactive fire prevention and recovery plans, and using resources wisely when managing cleanup and rebuilding our lives and homes.
Loomis, CA
… And if you think about the pressure of the jobs above, you might like to know that in my free time, I was the Treasurer for California Feline Rescue, a 501c3 organization in Placer County. Yes, fluffy cats are soothing to the soul, and after dealing with environmental disasters in our backyard, I couldn’t resist providing loving, safe, and healing homes for the kittens!
Lake of The Pines, CA
After moving to Lake of the Pines, I became an active Firebelles Volunteer (Snack Shack Scheduler, Server, etc.) and learned to golf! Although I’m a newbie on the course and with the Lady Niners, I love living in this fantastic community with so much to offer. Kayaking, Golfing, Wine In The Pines, Water Aerobics, Water Skiing, Salsa and Line Dancing, Books, Bunco, Bocce, Pickleball… the list is seemingly endless. Our home is precious! Let’s focus on the Lake, and the rest will follow.
